I Scream for Ice Cream

This song is inspired by the Mr. Softee trucks that visit NYC each summer.   It gets so hot that sometimes ice cream is the only relief!

Guitar/Bass/Vocal- Annie Allauzen

Drums:  Ivan Matthew Deyoung-Dominguez

It’s ninety degrees and I need some relief from this summer heat.  I go to the park everyday in the month of July and all I hear is the sound of a truck going ring a ling, ring a ling a ling, ring a ling, ring a ling, ring a ling…

Chorus:  I scream for ice cream, cold and creamy ice cream.  Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, pistachio.  I scream for ice cream, cold and creamy ice cream.  Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry.

I’d go to public pool but I forgot my swimming suit.  I’d go to the fountain but it’s broken like the fire hydrant on 57th street.  And all I hear is the sound of a truck going ring a ling a ling. ring a ling a ling, ring a ling, ring a ling, ring a ling…

Chorus:  I scream for ice cream, cold and creamy ice cream.  Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, pistachio. I scream for ice cream, cold and creamy ice cream.  Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry.

Bridge:  So many flavors to choose from, so many toppings to have.  Whip cream, sprinkles and chocolate fudge, cherries or bananas.  Waffle or sugar or cake cone so many options there.  Walnuts, coconut flakes or butternut syrup

I scream for ice cream, cold and creamy ice cream.  Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, pistachio.

I scream for ice cream, cold and creamy ice cream.  Salted caramel, mint and chocolate chip.

I scream for ice cream, cold and creamy ice cream.  Vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, pistachio.

All the flavors I adore, leaving me wanting so much more.
