Firefighters

Almost all children have a love for the bright red fire truck.  I tried to capture the sounds and ambience of the life of a firefighter.  These people protect us from the dangers of fire and keep us safe.

The firefighters are at the fire station number 9.  They’re drinking coffee and waiting for a call with their white and black dog.  I see a fire truck going zig zag through the traffic light.  It’s red, shiny and has a long ladder that can climb the highest tree.

Chorus:  It goes Weo down the street, it goes weo weo weo down the street.  It goes weo down the street.  So get out of the way so the firefighters can save the day.

The firefighters clean their fire trucks, hose and pumper parts.  They wear fluorescent coats and non flammable pants with the hard helmet and boots.  When they get the call that Sally’s kitchen is burning up again.  They run through the hall and slide down the pole.  And then vroom through the town.

Chorus:  It goes Weo down the street, it goes weo weo weo down the street.  It goes weo down the street.  So get out of the way so the firemen can save the day.

Bridge:  If you need a firefighter you just call 911 and they will come to rescue you.

If you need a firefighter you just call 911 and they will come to rescue you from the smoke

Chorus:  It goes Weo down the street, it goes weo weo weo down the street.  It goes weo down the street.  So get out of the way so the firemen can save the day.
